My Puppy Maddie

So I haven't posted in a while but only because of the new addition to my family. I rescued a puppy who lived in a high kill shelter in North Carolina 3 days ago.  As  many people know, I have been trying to adopt a dog for months upon months. It's so far so good training and patience wise, although I feel so drained from the stress of it all (the new routine and responsibilities). She's adorable and very fair-tempered. She was listed as an Australian Cattle Dog and hound mix but has traits of a shepherd, rottweiler and of course some sort of hound. She already started her first hole in the backyard with digging haha. Well, here's a shot that's not too photographically unique but it's one of the first shots of my little Maddie. Enjoy.

another something

Here is another oldie from what seems to be two winters ago already. This was shot in the old abandoned house down on Cranberry Rd. near the Barnes and Noble Distributer during one of the only snow storms of the year. It was freezing outside that night, and lugging around my digital kit was horrendous. Ever since this shot was taken the old house has been completely tore down and a parking lot now stands in it's place. As for logistical purposes the shot was intended to be blurred in order to create a more dark and confusing feeling. The actual object in the photo is my flash tripod, which was set up in front of a wall with very old and colorful wall paper that had become torn and dirty over the years from a lack of attention and care.

second image

I thought I would quickly add a second post just to remind myself that I should dip a few more rolls before my chemistry expires completely. I haven't processed in a good two months I'd say, which has been longer than I would like. This is a quick shot I took from my digital kit during the Fourth of July in Asbury, down on the beach. The shot of a fisherman was taken in almost complete darkness, with only the lights from the buildings behind me to show the man and the rocks. He held pretty still during the minute or so exposure, i was pleased with the outcome. I adjusted the curves and toned the photo digitally.

first post

So my main man Kevin has a real cool blog on here (two actually), so I thought that maybe this will give me a reason to get my camera out more often and load it up with film. Colie asked me to take more photos so she can freshen up her room as well. Kev and I are looking to make so sweet love in the form of stories and cover art soon, considering we are both bums with a little time on our hands (well me at least hahaha). I'm excited, come to think of it maybe Sutton has a blog... that'd be sweet sauce. Well, it's three in the a.m. so maybe I'll upload an older photo and call it a night.
